Whole body spectrometry

With reference of  elaboration nuclear power industry, especially with accidents in the nuclear power plants is a vital issue of metrological support of activity measurements of radionuclides contained in the body of personnel operating nuclear power facilities, and the population living in areas affected by radioactive contamination. To monitor the content of radionuclides in the body, that are responsible for internal human exposure, carry out the direct measurements of the activity of gamma-emitting radionuclides. In these measurements, use a variety of devices and equipment. However, the most accurate information about the content of radionuclides in the human body is obtained only with the use of whole body spectrometers, previously calibrated by reference sources (whole body phantoms).
